Three Murder Suspects Shot Dead While Trying To Runaway From Court

Three defendants on trial for 17 gang murders were killed in a shootout at the Moscow regional court on Tuesday after they tried to seize their guards’ weapons and flee, officials said.

While in a lift, five suspects “attacked police officers and tried to seize their weapons,” Moscow regional police said. In the subsequent shootout “three of the prisoners were liquidated and two wounded,” while a law enforcement officer was hospitalised with gunshot wounds, police said.
