Poverty As A Social Issue

Poverty has done more harm than good in our society. All over the world poverty has divided the society into two. The rich ( Upper Class) and the poor (Lower class).

The word poverty provoke strong emotion and question should we consider the poor to be lazy or do not spend money wisely? Can we consider poverty a social problem?

 To find answer to the question we need to understand the question poverty. Poverty is the state of one who lack a certain amount of materials possessions or money.

Poverty can be consider as a social problem because of its affect can be felt in the society as whole. A lot of our people lack needs like food, shelter education, health faulted and good source of water and so on.

 Poverty has twined a lot of people in the street begger and render them homeless. 

The problem of poverty is now reverberating around the globe causing huge social problem such as war high infant mortality annual death rate increase in hygiene and diet related diseases,Crime rate robbery, kidnapper, internet fraud, homelessness etc .

The issue of poverty in our society is arming and reguive urgent attention from our government.

However this phenomenon can be solved only when the cause is identified. 

What are the cause of poverty in our society? 

Whose is to be blame for the predicament.

There are many factor causing poverty in our society ranging from corruption and bad governance, poor resources usage poor infrastructure limited employment opportunity etc, But the major source of poverty can be related to corruption and bad governance.

Our government are more concerned about their own excessive desire and embezzle the money that was meant to be used for the welfare of the people.

Greediness of our government has caused more damage to relationship and families. People have became homeless because they can not afford one or their houses have been demolished by the government with out any form of compensation.

People are deprived of basic education, no employment opportunity for the youths, coupled with poor infrastructure.

Our government always comes up with budget every year promising the masses of goos security, water system, good roads electricity and so on but later failed to keep those promises because the money allocated for all these project are been pocket by some people at the higher level having the poor to suffer.

Our government value Inordinate things more than people lives because as all this mismanagement continues the standard of living because worse. It is incumbent 

On our government to make it a priority to focus on fundamental human right. Every individual should be given access to house, food, clean water, electricity and heath care.

Government should make sure that programs that provide those basic amenities are up and doing, empower of youth should encourage. 

There transparency in government spending, how government choose to spending should be made visible to the media and common man, this will make the govt accountable for their actions.

Government should embrace Transparency in all level of government kick against corruption have people interact at heart and this will help reduce if not eradicate poverty and make our society poverty free.
