28 Year Old Lesbian To Be Deported From Sweden After Failing Gay Test

A 28year-old lesbian from Kenya is faced with possible deportation after the Swedish migration board rejected her a asylum application on grounds that her s*xual orientation was questionable.

The Kenyan woman, Lucy Murugi, according to Nairobi Wire fled Kenya two years ago after her family turned their backs on her because of her s*xual orientation but was later assisted by her cousin in securing a visa and accommodation in Stockholm, Sweden.

Lucy, while speaking to journalists in Sweden disclosed that she applied for asylum but was rejected by the Swedish Migration Board 14 months later because she failed the interviews that form the basis for the credibility of the assessment.

She added that the Migration Board’s questions were almost incomprehensible to her noting that “I did not understand anything. No one told me what to expect. What I would do or say, or at least give me some guidelines.” Speaking on her reaction to not being believed by the board, Lucy said: “It feels horrible and disappointing. It breaks down one. You realize that you made a mistake somewhere and when you try to fix it so you will rarely get a second chance.”

Lucy is now faced with the fear that she might be deported back to the country where she fled some years ago. Recall that Homos*xuality has been declared a criminal offence in Kenya where the crime is punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
